Footwear is also very essential, the fit of the shoe should be wide enough to be comfortable and there should be enough room for the toes to lie flat with a bit of space to spare. Ideally there should be a one centimeter gap between the ends of the toes and the front of the shoe. Socks and stocking must fit comfortably as well, since anything too tight will restrict and impair the blood circulation. Clean socks or stockings are a must to avoid dampness. Wet shoes or socks should be dried out before being worn again. Most of all, cleanliness should always be practice because the feet can become very hot and sweaty in the course of the day, and infections can easily develop. We should take care of our feet regularly, if we want them to last for a long period of time.
